character: Jim

During the course of the story, I have encountered many struggles involving

slavery and danger. I first began my journey when I made the decision to run away from my master. I ran away because Miss Watson  was going to sell me to New Orleans, and separate me from my wife and kids. Also New Orleans is the worst place to be for a slave. To my surprise, during my escape, I over heard someone say that Huckleberry Finn was murdered! There was no doubt it was the work of the devil himself. However, the next night I walked up on Huck in the flesh. Which showed me that old Huck was pretty clever indeed, cause he must of faked his own death!

In this Article, critics debate over the use of the “N” word should be used in the classic novel Huckleberry Finn.Mark Twain grew up around slavery most of his life. He grew up in a slave state with his realitives owning several slaves. Mark Twain was not a racist because of the inner message sent through the book. but the use of the”N” word was just the realistic language in those days.

Huckelberry Finn was a satire because Mark Twain was breaking the pattern of slavery by writting a book which suggested the escape of a slave.  “And when he got enough he would buy his wife, which was owned on a farm close to where Miss. Watson lived; and then they would both work to buy the two children, and if their master wouldn’t sell them, they would get an Ab’litionist to go and steal them.”
