for number 3 another significant thing in that quote is how Jim is becomes protective of Huck and doesn't let him see the dead man's face. This could be interpretted as Jim taking on a fathering role over Huck.

Huck is also superstitious as shown in the quote, "Pretty soon a spider went crawling up my shoulder, and I flipped it off and it lit in the candle; and before i could budge it was all shriveled up. I didn't need anybody to tell me that was an awful bad sign and would fetch me some bad luck..." I chose this passage because this takes place even before Huck and Jim get to know each other.

1.) At one point he did want to change, but his severe addiction to liquor convinced him otherwise. However, as with many alcoholics, the urge to quit slowly dies as the need for drink becomes more powerful.
2.) Jim would most definitely be sent back to Miss Watson, and then sold down to New Orleans. As for Huck, he would most likely be sent back to Widow Douglas. There is, however, the possibility that Pap would make the attempt to kidnap Huck once again.

1.) I think Huck goes back to the island, because he doesn't want to be caught, and be forced back into the "sivilized" lifestyle of Widow Douglas and Miss Watson.
2.) In the time period the book is set, superstitions were a way of life, meaning they were frequent and expected.

1.) I don't think the people that killed the woman were the same people that killed the man. In the time period Huck Finn is set in, murders were a tad more frequent than they are today, due to the lack of ability to determine the killer through forensic analysis.
2.) It's very possible that the murders on the steamboat were the killers of the man and woman. They are located in the same general area of the murders, making it extremely plausible.

Question #1) Yes. Huck does admires Tom a lot, but when Huck makes those decision I really don't think he really know that is is bad. He just mostly does what every Tom does good or bad.
Question #2) Yes I think that was a very smart thing to do to the robbers. I think, because know the robber really can't escape with and loot. they would just have to jump off the boat to escape and leave the loot behind, because the loot will get ruined. They would just mostly have to stay on the sinking ship and die or get rescued and go to jail for robbing a ship.

1) I think it’s because Huck doesn't want to be "found" he did say he liked living out in the wilderness so why would he go back to town.

2) Most people don't understand the way some things work, in medieval times people believed in witches and magic witch we know aren't true today. It's sort of the same thing just on a smaller scale plus, most of the characters are uneducated.
