Blog-versations
When commenting on your classmates’ posts, there are a few simple rules to remember:
1. Be respectful and polite, both when agreeing or disagreeing.
2. Comments should be relatively substantial. You are commenting on someone’s post to encourage discussion, not simply to state an agreement or disagreement. Always remember to explain the reasoning behind your basic premise.
3. You will become someone’s constant reader. It will always be your responsibility to read this person’s post and respond to it in a thoughtful manner. Additionally, you will read and respond to other posts of your choosing; this will vary depending on each assignment.
4. When responding to a post, address the initial post and any relevant comments. It’s absolutely possible to have lively conversations through blogging!
5. Use all rules of English class, proper net-iquette, and an appropriate tone.
