Earth Science- The Solid Earth (Grades 10/11/12) #0254 EC

The focus of this Geology course includes the formation of the planet, Rocks & Minerals, Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Caves, Mountain Building, and Earth’s geologic history. Using the theory of Plate Tectonics, students will explore hands-on the geologic changes and the reasons these changes occur. Students will also explore the non-tectonic changes such as glaciation, weathering, and water and wind erosion.
Prerequisite: successful completion of Physical Science and Algebra 1.
