The online MT Ski Apparel Store is now OPEN! Order your cozy and comfy sweats, tshirts, and gear to stay warm and prepared on and off the slopes. Orders will close at the end of the day on January 16, 2018 and will be available for pick-up at both the Middle and High Schools shortly thereafter.
Shop online HERE on/before Tuesday, January 16.
There is a ski club storage closet available for storing your ski gear and equipment here at school on the days of our trips. It is the same location as last year, behind the concession stand (in the main hallway from the main office to the cafeteria). Look for a ski club advisor between 7:00-7:25 in the morning, and 2:35-3:00 in the afternoon. The door will be locked outside of those times.
If you are not able to get your gear to the closet before 7:25, please make arrangements to store it in a ski club advisor’s classroom. GEAR CANNOT BE STORED OR DROPPED OFF AT THE MAIN OFFICE.
In planning ahead for the season and extreme cold conditions, you may want to review some of the following tips:
- Wear lots of layers
- Keep skin covered (consider a neck gaiter or balaclava to cover face)
- Take breaks inside to warm up
- Eat high energy foods and stay hydrated
- Ski with two –or more!– others (which is ALWAYS our recommendation)
- Use Hand/toe warmers (get them out a few minutes before using them, so they get nice and warm)
We would like to thank the Lancaster Ski Club for their generous donation to, and partnership with, our club. They have multiple day trips that may be of interest to you and your families if you’d like to check out Elk, Montage, or Seven Springs. Please check out this informational flyer (here), and refer to their website (here) for questions.
